There have four mining disasters in Tredegar. Where 59 miners, men and boys were killed. Four of these were 12 or under. When looking around Tredegar there is nothing showing this history.

So we were actively looking as our group tp set up a memorable for these who lost their lives. This is when we came along the old NCB work shop gates. We are looking to get these gates refurbished, and displayed in a part of our town. We will also have a plaque so everyone can see and show an important part of our rich town’s history.
