TREASURE ISLAND PLAYGROUP

Treasure Island Playgroup has been looking after preschool children for generations (over 40 years) and we need your help to keep us going for generations more.  While the Covid-19 lockdown seems a long time ago now, its effects are still being felt within our preschool.  Not only did we loose thousands of pounds in parents fees, but we have also suffered from low birth rates since lockdown.  The current cost of living crisis also means that parents just aren't able to afford childcare fees beyond those covered by government funding.  Things are getting better and we will survive, but we don't want to just survive, we want to thrive.  We were graded Good at our last inspection but we strive to obtain Outstanding, and that all costs money.  We need to replace old toys, provide new and stimulating opportunities, invest in the latest staff training, and enhance children's learning as much as possible.  We wish to develop an environment that is safe, stimulating and harnesses their natural curiosity.  We want to set the wheels in motion for future learning and a brighter future for all.

We are asking for people to donate as little or as much as they can afford, even if its just £1.  Every single donation goes towards the total amount raised, and as we have seen with Comic Relief and Children In Need, lots of small amounts can soon add up to something amazing.
