We're still collecting donations
On the 20th November 2023 we'd raised £1,613 with 69 supporters in 29 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Let's make Trans Pride the biggest yet! Get behind the community as we show off our joy and rage with a huge party of resistance 🧡

We are a group of lovable queers getting organised to make this year’s Trans Pride march on 25th November the biggest it’s ever been. We want to make sure that nobody can miss us as we make our way through the city so we are going to build a mobile sound system and make a party at the front of the march to show off trans joy and trans rage in all its beautiful, messy glory. We will also be hosting a trans community day the weekend before (on November 19th) to bring our community together and get ready!

*UPDATE* Unfortunately due to council restrictions we have been unable to secure the necessary road closures to use a lorry for our float this year. We have adjusted our target accordingly and will be going ahead with all other areas of the project.

When we heard Rishi's"common sense" comments attempting to erase the existence of trans people and stir up a moral panic (https://shorturl.at/eiDET), we decided we needed to make a big statement. What better way than to throw a huge, loud, irresistible party at the front of the march?
We will be showing up and showing off with performances from Bristol Ballroom Community and Shade Cartel, and a huge, sexy soundsystem to blast music by trans, non-binary and intersex artists for all Bristol to hear.
All of this would be pointless without a crowd of galvanised trans+ and allied cuties, so we host a community day at Easton Community Centre on November 19th to give everyone an opportunity to get together, to get behind the vision and invest in our community together. This will be a “get ready for trans pride with us” day - come and paint what you want to shout about on a placard, get your outfit sorted at our clothes swap, get your body and brain pumped with our sports sessions and workshops, and more. We are also hoping to provide free food for all attendees to get people making connections and meeting each other - as well as a simple incentive to get people to show up!
We don't have any corporate sponsors for this project - as it's the first year running it like this it feels important to build it from the ground up, using funds from supporters.
