Trampoline for everyone
Brent is an outer borough located in the North West of London. The poverty rate in this borough is significantly higher compared to the poverty rate in London. Nine neighbourhoods in Brent are amongst the most deprived in England (overall deprivation score of 1 in 2019).
Our activities are intended to be delivered to everyone regardless of religion, sexual orientation and ethnic group. Our goal is to keep sports accessible for all by setting affordable prices and payment plans for those with lower income.
Here at Star Jump Trampoline Club we are planning a safe return to trampolining. That’s such a challenge during these uncertain times! But we are determined to achieve our goals and practice the sport we love in the safest possible way.
In order to do so, we would like to:
Install an air pit (airbag). In line with Covid19 restrictions reviewed by British Gymnastics, we are currently not allowed to use the foam pit due to risk of infection. This is extremely frustrating for both coaches and gymnasts, especially when trying to learn new skills, when the only safe option is to land on a foam/air pit to avoid risk of injury. However, an airbag would allow gymnasts to progress and improve their skills and allows coaches a touchless approach. An airbag can be cleaned and sanitised after every session, whereas that’s not possible with a foam it.
