Aim: I’m cycling 330km from to coast to coast in one day to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, an incredibly worth cause
From first time I saw a close family member with dementia , I have been aware what a cruel disease this is and the pain and suffering people go through as they struggle with this dreadful disease and its outcomes. Some facts from the Alzheimer’s Society:
To raise money for the Alzheimer's Society we will be riding from Rochester in Kent, starting at 4am, to Weston Super Mare in Somerset, in just one day! A total of 330km. Whilst I love cycling I have never ridden close to this distance in one day and I know this will be hard, really hard. I am expecting between 12 to 16 hours in the saddle!
I know financially these are challenging times, and we have asked you for sponsorship before, but if you are able to spare a few pounds we would be very grateful. I can assure you when the saddle sore in burning and the legs are dying, any support will keep us going forward. Thank you so much for all your support for this event and the fight against this dementia.
