PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE SET A LOW TARGET AS IT GIVES MORE FLEXIBILITY WITH WHAT WE CAN DO WITH THE ACCOUNT!
We got together as a group of "Totnesians" who felt empathy for the victims of the war in Ukraine and especially displaced people. Most of our fundraising will be passed on to charities and at present we are considering Medecins Sans Frontieres and World Central Kitchen. If specific items are requested from such charities or the Ukrainian government we will endeavour to source them and ship them directly. Any other donations of items not requested will be sold at charity stalls. We are a proactive group and initiatives to raise funds are diverse: for example growing sunflowers (the national flower of Ukraine) to sell and also to pepper our town with sunflowers as a show of support for Ukraine. We are against military incursion and deplore violence of any kind as a means of resolving differences.
