TORQUAY ROUND TABLE WISHING WELL.
The Well was constructed by Round Tablers in 1988, for thirty five years, the money raised has been used to support needy causes. Buying specialist wheelchairs, normally a guide dog annually and many many more good causes were supported financially by the Well.
This year all proceeds are going to buy Christmas Hampers for needy children, whose family's, due to the cost of living crisis may not be able to supply treats, gifts, and a little bit of Christmas cheer.
After a few years in the doldrums the Wishing Well has been refurbished, with the aim of raising £1500.00 buying 50 x £30 hamprers. To date we are well above target and the aim now is to buy 100 hampers.
Myself and my partner are planning on riding the Devon Coast to Coast cycle track in September, In all 102 miles from Ilfracombe to Plymouth, and any donations will be gratefully received. This will improve the festive season for many underprivileged children who will now receive a Christmas hamper full of goodies, which they will certainly enjoy.
