What are we doing?
As a team, we are taking on the Grim Challenge on 1 Dec 24!
The Grim challenge is as bad as it sounds. It is 4 gruelling miles over the very wet, VERY muddy, and very cold British Army training area in Aldershot. They used to train the Parachute Regiment on the same area but that doesn't phase our team! Oh no, they are 'tackling' this head on along with their coaches and some of the parents too (Although they will be trailing behind apparently).
Why are we doing it?
The boys are looking to raise some funds to help purchase some equipment which will really improve the types of training sessions that can be provided (both football and fitness sessions). The funds will also be used to help keep the training safe in the dark winter months due to limited access to floodlit pitches.
The team will also be looking to use the funds (should we be so lucky to raise enough) to help support the organisation of team development and leadership events. They really do help with bringing a team together and creating long lasting friendships.
