This is my journey
A few years ago, while I was in Antalya, Turkey, a massive earthquake struck. People fled their homes to many different cities. In Antalya, we were quite far from it, but people started coming to the city seeking safety.
I was in a group of more than 500 expats, but I was the closest to the Syrian refugees who came to the city with nothing, just like the way they fled Syria, so I posted on the group that I want to help by providing 3 simple things: food, mattresses, and blankets. I wasn't in the best situation financially, but we ended up helping over 5000 people, financially, legally, and emotionally...
Fast forward to Oct 23, as soon as the genocide started on my people in Gaza, I thought how can we support the struggling young students that are stuck in Turkey with no resources, by that time I had my own group with only 50 effective members, so we started helping again in the same areas, financially, legally and emotionally. Then in February last year I was blessed to meet some of the lucky Gazans who just about escaped the genocide but with severe injuries....
I have so many stories which I'll be sharing in the updates in the coming days, like when we helped a cancer patient to be legal in Turkey so that she can receive her medicines, or when we helped a 60 year old Palestinian grandmother to start speaking after her tongue was twisted for over a month and she couldn't talk, and many more stories....
