Aim: Young mx rider Spencer Paterson, just had a big mx crash, needing a 5 hour op on a broken femur, and a broken wrist. Help with kit & damage.
‼️ Hey all, I don’t do this often, but this is an appeal for a dedicated young mx lad in Spencer Paterson.🙏🏻❤️ ‼️ last weds at Grittenham Mx Track practice with Thornbury MX Practice Tracks Spencer had a massive off on a jump right at the end of the night in the last session for all 😳😕
Weirdly I just happened to be right there where happened. And was even on a live video in my group
Mx & Speedway Memories at the time when realised when got home, I took it down the live out of respect as was rumoured he was injured badly from it 😔
Later found out from Dad, he had a 5 hour operation on a broken femur 😳 that was plated back together, and also fractured his wrist. Thankfully he is already back home, and was already working on physiotherapy 😳
It touched a nerve with me, I was taking photos as always on a weds night. And something was said reminded me of my and my dad god bless him! 🙏🏻❤️
The medic said to Spencer I’m going to have to cut your mx bottoms off to get to this, and his response was nooooooooo despite the agony he must of been in 💪🏻 warriors these mx kids! Unreal.
I had a massive crash once, over jump, messing about, which Spencer wasn’t. Pure unlucky his as will see below. I was sat on the downside of a jump and ok. Buttt then heard the revs of two bikes and looked round and they ploughed into the back of me. Quite as mess as can imagine.
After racing I had a back op, and still ruined to this day with it. But my dad got to me and was like panicked, and he’s so laid back and seen it all. Broke every bone in body at speedway, so I knew it was bad for him to be like omg!
He said what’s hurting. All I said was, I haven’t scratched my new premier helmet have I? 🤣 Bert Harkins will like that one haha
So exactly the same type of thing as Spencer and his dad, and my memory went straight back to that! Classic. This was 1995 Jesus! Been 10 years without dad already this year 😕
So I know the mx community is amazing. Poor Spencer despite his passionate pleas, and agony. They had to cut off his mx bottoms. And his helmet is trashed too, when see crash will get it.
Only showing you all the crash have on video with the say so of his dad, and of course can imagine the heartache they been through, and Spencer, it’s a lot more the shock as well as the injuries. Happens so fast ehh.
Would be amazing if a mx company/shop, or person, anyone willing to help this poor young man, it would lessen the pain some what. And let Spencer know the mx community care. While he recovers.
A new set of mx kit would be amazing, and a new helmet. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🙌🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hope someone sees this would like to help, would be incredible to show the love. These kids put it on the line, he is well aware of the dangers of the sport, and accepts is wasn’t a pure accident, and wasn’t even his fault bike just crossed up at took up and landed sideways lots of you will understand them ones 🤦🏻
