The Rock is a dynamic and comprehensive youth charity, offering a wide range of activities and services to address the needs of young people in areas of poverty and deprivation.
Our team consists of qualified, experienced and dedicated youth workers. And we're supported by some fantastic volunteers.
We want all young people to succeed, especially at school. And the move from primary to secondary school is important. A successful transition leads to further success - at Key stage 3, KS4, to GCSE's and beyond.
We know - we've seen it happen. And we want to keep it happening.
A recent survey of young people identified that what they want is a safe space, lots to do, and at little cost. Guess what - it's at The Rock. It has been for 14 years and we want to keep it going.
The money we raise goes towards providing positive, challenging activities - cooking, sports, games, performing arts, and photography are just a few.
Your funding help us keep costs to a mimimum and we couldn't do it without you.
Young people have fun, make a noise, meet friends, gain more friends, learn skills, and have more fun. How do we know - well they keep coming back, week after week. They bring friends and family to join the fun. They tell us they're having fun. Their parents tell us they have fun.
Their schools tell us we help - and they promote our projects to their pupils.
And over the years we've seen young people move on to other projects, to apprenticeships, to university, to college, to work.
By helping us we can continue to help them.
