Time to Play

Aim: Help Rainbow Flow offer a 'Time to Play' to those families who need it within our local community.

I am going to be totally honest here, I NEED YOUR HELP!!

Friends and family, spread the word if you can. I have been inspired by Muddy Stilettos and Crowdfunder to launch a 'Built by her project' and this is where you all come in. 

I need you all to help me raise £1000 to be in with a chance of entering a HUGE competition. The prize would allow me to grow and expand Rainbow Flow, something I am hugely passionate about. I would love to launch a Community Interest Charity arm to the business which is what this fundraiser will focus on.

If we meet our target the funds we raise through this project will allow us to offer FREE Play sessions to selected groups in the local community this year. I am hoping that your funds will allow me to host 10 play sessions alongside the support of local charities.

As many of you know, I set up Rainbow Flow to offer some inclusive activities to young adults with SEN. There was very little on offer for this age group and over the last few years we have grown a weekly session that allows young adults to come and socialise while enjoying a movement class . Alongside this I have a truly fantastic team of teachers that take our play and movement sessions out to schools and nurseries in London and we really want to continue growing this side of our business. I am currently training to be a Play Therapist, my most challenging but inspiring journey to date and I want to combine all of these amazing branches of Rainbow Flow to offer as much in the local community as we possibly can. 

My passion is 'Play'. I believe as adults many of us have forgotten how to play, it's not surprising, our busy work and home lives reduce our opportunities to experience joy! I would love a world where play formed a part of everyone's working day - Play therapy is allowing me to play every day and I see what an impact it can make on those that get to experience it. (I'd love to say this crowdfunder was going to offer play therapy in the workplace but I am not quite there yet.....watch this space though!!)

For now, my concern is that many children do not have access to simplest forms of play, many are not exposed to the creative, imaginative opportunities that inspire basic play and this is something at Rainbow Flow we are striving to change. 

Please, please consider supporting our Rainbow Flow fundraiser so that I can offer these initial free sessions and be in with a chance of entering an even greater competition platform. I would love the opportunity to grow and expand Time to Play with all of your help!!

I should mention I bake a pretty mean chocolate brownie so for those of you BIG supporters out there....be prepared to receive a box in the post for all of your generosity!!!
