Aim: To provide 60 children aged 7-14 from all backgrounds with free football training & opportunities to play showcase matches against Academies
Welcome to Axten Football Club.
I’m Floyd Johnson, a UEFA B License Football Coach and Head Coach of Axten FC.
We are a youth football club established in Brixton, South London in 2001.
Me and my amazing team, provide children and young people in South London and Surrey with a safe and fun environment to play football, develop vital life skills and create life long friendships.
Our vision is to provide children no matter what their social, ethnic or economic background with high quality training, support and opportunities to achieve their goals and become happy and successful individuals that make a positive contribution to their community.
We need to raise money so that we can provide free football training sessions and showcase match opportunities for over 60 children through our Thrive through Football Project. We currently have 30 players registered and the demand for places continues to grow.
We are currently providing our 30 children with free training sessions, and we want to continue to do this plus provide opportunities for the children to play in showcase matches against other teams including Academies. Our aim is to expand the project to another 30 children and provide them with this fantastic opportunity.
In order to make this happen we need funding to help pay for equipment -including footballs and goals, insurance and new football kits.
-Footballs £540
-Goals £700
-Football Kits x 4 £868.80
FA Level 1 coaching course x 2-£200
Insurance-£371
We are a Community Club.
Community cohesion is incredibly important to us. We were established in Brixton in 2001 and our aim was to provide high quality coaching and a fantastic environment to all children, from all ethnic and economic backgrounds. We believe that a child’s race or limited financial means should not be a barrier to happiness and success.
We bring children, young people, their families and the wider community together in a harmonious way. Creating social inclusion and breaking down barriers.
We have been providing free community projects for 25 years-including projects to help prevent children becoming involved in or who are already involved in gangs and or criminal activities and projects for young people who are NEET.
We have run free annual Community events including The Champions Tournament and festivals including The Past, Present and Future Festival, The Put Back Festival and Find Your Future Festival.
We have provided thousands of children and young people with amazing opportunities and the right foundations to go on and become successful, thriving adults, helping their families and the community in which they live by lowering crime and poverty.
The Thrive through Football Project will to continue providing a positive impact on the community by engaging children in positive activities, installing vital life skills and creating social integration and community cohesion.

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
