Aim: Three young actors, taking a show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, performing a comedy(ish) theatre piece about Shakespeare's writing.

All three of us, Barnaby, Henry, and Sam, have a passion for Drama and Comedy, and coming to the end of our school years, we want to explore the worlds of theatre and comedy further, without having to listen to our rambling teacher, and to take a show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe . Despite only being 16, we wanted to show that with the correct mindset and determination, anything can be achieved, age isn't a barrier, apart from maybe when getting a mortgage, but we don't need that much money.

The Show

We will perform a show called 'The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)' originally written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield, a piece showing all 37 plays by Shakespeare, in a comical and simple way, the latter being rather useful for us. It has been adapted by the authors to be more appropriate for today's society, and will therefore provide hilarious and cutting edge comedy... we hope.

Barnaby

Barnaby has spent years performing in school drama performances, stealing all the main roles from Henry and Sam since the beginning of time. He had a rather average performance in Little Shop of Horrors, where we were exposed to his poor singing for way too long. This was followed by a disappointing portrayal of Rochester in Jane Eyre. Away from drama he is a mediocre tennis player and a woeful golfer. Apart from that we can only assume he spends his time in sheep impersonation contests, judging from his embarrassing lid.

Henry

Henry is not committed to drama, he spends way too much time playing golf and not enough time learning his lines. Despite this he is still worse than Barnaby on the golf front(an impressive feat) He is also a bit of a nerd, and tries way too hard at school. On a more theatrical note, he has played the villain in the past 145836 school shows, demonstrating the extent of his emotional and dramatic capabilities, or lack thereof. His last decent role was 'Alien #14' in his year 1 adaptation of the nativity.

Sam

Sam is an incredible dramatist, outstanding golfer, and generally sound bloke. He works exceptionally hard in his dramatic endeavors, and has a great deal of talent to go with it. He has great potential in the theatrical world, and no doubt we'll be seeing him receiving an Olivier award in the future, but for now, is stuck with these two clowns, and is wondering why he still bothers.

Serious bit

Our vision is to put on a truly and utterly.. half decent Fringe production. We don't want our show to be a rubbish cheesy school fringe show, but a properly alright comedy performance, and hopefully you'll laugh at some bits, even if it just when Barns forgets his lines horrifically. As Shakespeare said, 'There is nothing either good or bad' even if Henry's performance hints towards the latter. Any money donated will go towards production costs, in terms of venue, costume, props and other essential parts. Either way, donation or not, please remember, 'Better a witty fool than a foolish wit.'
