This Is Not a Hat – A Surreal Dance Short

Aim: Picture a hat. Now take away the person underneath it. This is not a hat. It’s a short film about existence, theatre, and stylish confusion

This Is Not a Hat is a short, surreal dance film featuring four dancers, zero heads, and one increasingly unhinged choreographer (hi). Think Magritte meets musical theatre with a mild identity crisis. It’s weird. It’s elegant. It’s me, trying to make something beautiful out of the existential fog.

I’m raising funds to make it happen — from studio hire to costumes to getting floating hats to behave themselves in post. If you’ve ever loved a good visual pun, a slightly haunted musical number, or a choreographer on the brink, I’d be incredibly grateful for your support.
