We're still collecting donations
On the 25th April 2021 we'd raised £55 with 5 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Thank you.....
A massive thank you to everyone who joined in our first fundraiser. The money raised will make a huge impact to our club as lockdown eases and we begin the 2021 cricket season.
Fundraising initiatives
Harry will continue the extremely popular Last Man Stands competition into another round and we look forward to lots more entries. Alongside this, we are also fundraising for our 5-5-5 challenge. Take five selfies in front of five businesses who have supported us massively over the last few years. These are Hambleton Brewery, Well Heeled Boutique, Dales of Thirsk, Tesco and Thirsk Garden Centre. Nominate the next five people and donate £5 to this page.
Our progress
After the 2020 season was reduced to half a season of friendly matches by the first lockdown, the committee set to work over winter on looking at how to revitalise the club. We managed to secure three grants from Sport England, the ECB and Tesco which firstly stabilised the club and then gave us a footing to grow from. Our new secretary Dave, has produced a new junior development plan which has grown into the Thirsk Cricket Club Academy. We have recruited 14 new coaches (including two female coaches) and are in the process of getting them the qualifications to deliver top quality sessions. We aim to run sessions for Allstars (5-8), Dynamos (8-11 softball), under 11s (hardball), under 13 and under 15s. For the very first time we are also fielding an under 19 team in the national T20 blast. We are establishing relationships with five of the local primary schools and community groups. We have a big marketing campaign due to start at the end of March and hope to recruit over 100 new boys and girls to cricket this summer.
On the senior side, both the first and second team are looking to build on their promotions in 2019, while the third team continue their great work at introducing junior players into senior cricket. We have a couple of new additions and along with our developing group of young players are hopeful of doing well in the 2021 season.

How will we invest in our club
Donations received will be put to very good use. As a financially secure club we will be able to continue to develop our cricket offering to the community. This will include;
Growing our All Stars & Dynamos capability, including the provision of coaches to supplement our own volunteers
Thank you
We won’t succeed without your help. If the majority of members and parents could donate then we will go a long way to achieving our target.
