Our Story: Building a Brighter Future for Thanet’s Youth

In the heart of Thanet, Kent, where the sea meets the vibrant communities of Margate, Ramsgate, and Broadstairs, we’re launching a business with a purpose: to create sustainable, meaningful employment for our young people. Thanet is a place of creativity, resilience, and untapped potential, but too many of our youth face uncertain futures with limited opportunities. That’s where we come in.

Our business is more than just a venture—it’s a commitment to our community. We’re building a company that champions local talent, offering young people in Thanet stable, rewarding jobs that empower them to thrive. Whether it’s through hands-on training, apprenticeships, or full-time roles, we’re dedicated to providing pathways to success for those who need it most.

Thanet is a unique corner of Kent, rich in culture and potential, but it faces challenges. Youth unemployment here is higher than the national average, and many young people struggle to find stable, fulfilling work. We believe that by investing in our youth, we can transform lives and strengthen our community. Our business is designed to do just that, creating jobs that are not only sustainable but also meaningful—work that gives young people pride, purpose, and a stake in their future.

How We’re Making a Difference

Our approach is simple but powerful. We’re building a business that prioritises sustainability in every sense—economically, socially, and environmentally. Here’s how we’re creating sustainable employment for Thanet’s young people:

• Local Hiring and Training: We’re committed to hiring locally, focusing on young people aged 16–25. Through tailored training programmes, we’ll equip them with skills that are in demand, from technical expertise to customer service, ensuring they’re ready for long-term careers.

• Apprenticeships and Mentorship: Our apprenticeship scheme will provide hands-on experience, paired with mentorship from experienced professionals. This isn’t just about a job—it’s about building confidence, networks, and a foundation for growth.

• Sustainable Business Practices: By embedding eco-friendly practices into our operations—whether it’s reducing waste, using renewable energy, or sourcing locally—we’re ensuring our business thrives without compromising the planet. This creates stable jobs that young people can rely on for years to come.

• Community Focus: Every product we make and every service we offer will reflect Thanet’s spirit. From collaborating with local artisans to celebrating our coastal heritage, we’re building a brand that resonates with our community and creates pride in local work.
