Hi, I’
m Greer! Mama to two boys and two dogs, together with my husband, we're raising a child with additional needs. Our day-to-day is full of unique challenges, and for a long time, I felt lonely, overwhelmed, and isolated.
But something amazing happened when I started sharing our story—I discovered a whole community of parents fighting similar battles and a world of people eager to support them but unsure how. That’s how The Unfinished Idea Podcast was born. Over the past three months, we’ve been producing episodes that have resonated deeply with neurodivergent individuals, parents raising neurodivergent kids, and allies wanting to do more. Through these conversations, one message has stood out: the need for a community where parents don’t have to apologise for their child’s behaviour. A place to celebrate wins, share struggles, and connect with people who truly understand.
That’s where The Unfinished Community comes in—a space where parents (especially moms) can find support, resources, and real connection. We envision a hub for sharing knowledge, diving deeper into important topics, and building a tribe that gets it. To bring this vision to life, we need your help. Your support will allow us to create this safe, supportive community and expand the work we’re already doing with the podcast. Together, we can make a difference for families navigating the neurodiverse world and build something truly special.
How will we use your support?
With the funds we raise, we’ll: Build a robust online community platform—with forums, resources, and curated content tailored for parents navigating the neurodiverse world. Expand our podcast production to reach more families and cover more topics, featuring expert guests and voices from our community. Create educational tools and resources for parents and allies to better understand and support neurodiverse kids. Host virtual and in-person events that foster real connection and support.
