We're still collecting donations
On the 13th December 2024 we'd raised £8,710 with 58 supporters in 83 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Tom
Over the years, Tom has taught hundreds of children and adults how to skate, not just sharing the love of this incredible sport, but also inspiring others to believe in themselves. Tom has a golden ability to help everyone find their own strength, to be able to achieve whatever they want to achieve, to support and respect others and to learn skills that they can take with them across all areas of life, whether that's school, work, with friends or family.
From local skate parks to huge festivals, Tom’s passion and dedication to helping others really does set him aside, whether you’re taking your first skate or pushing your boundaries in the skate park. We know that Tom will dedicate everything he has to The Skate Farm, and we can’t wait to open the doors very soon.
At The SkateFarm, we believe in the transformative power of extreme sports, including scooters, inclines, quad skates, WMX, BMX, and specifically skateboarding, to cultivate positivity, personal growth, and community development. Inspired by the metaphor of a farm, where crops are nurtured and grown, we aspire to create a skatepark that serves as a fertile ground for sowing the seeds of positivity among individuals of all backgrounds.
Our primary goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages users to push their limits, explore their passions, and develop their skills. We understand that skateboarding is much more than just a sport. Now in the Olympics along with BMX, they are a vehicle for personal expression, creativity, and self-discovery. By offering a well-designed skatepark with diverse obstacles and features, we aim to create a space where users can freely express themselves, build confidence, and learn from one another while developing a positive mindset.
We are crowdfunding in order to raise the cash needed to build the park without accumulating debt that then ultimately results in increased customer costs and begins to create financial access hurdles. We want the space to germinate from a seed of charitable, positive mindset and grow into an all inclusive safe space. We want to see see the fruit develop through of determination and grow through the advancement of ability that only a mentally safe and encouraging space can nurture.
We have the volunteer crew (farm workers!) to craft the park, but the raw materials need buying. We have pro-bono architects, lawyers, accountants, carpenters, artists, administrators and instructors all ready to transform the space into the most nurturing safe space skatepark in the South of England.
Education and outreach are integral parts of our mission. We seek to educate the community about the positive impact of extreme sports, dispelling stereotypes and promoting understanding. We collaborate with local schools, youth organisations, and community centres to offer skateboarding programs that emphasise discipline, perseverance, and personal growth. Through these initiatives, we aim to empower individuals, especially young people, with the tools and mindset needed to overcome challenges, set goals, and realise their full potential.
The SkateFarm will not be just a skatepark; it will be a community hub where individuals come together to celebrate the power of extreme sports and the cultivation of positivity. We invite everyone, skaters and non-skaters alike, to be a part of this journey. Together, we can create a vibrant and inclusive community that nurtures and grows the seeds of positivity, leaving a lasting impact on individuals, families, and the wider community.
Join us at The Skate Farm, where we cultivate positivity through extreme sports, just like crops on a farm.
