Who We Are:
The Other Team is a queer, female-led company that is opening a community sports bar in London, exclusively streaming and celebrating women's sport at all levels. The Other Team Sports Bar will be a welcoming, inclusive and empowering space in which anyone of any gender and sexuality can come together, relax, meet new people and be entertained - all whilst promoting and empowering women, non-binary and trans folk in sport.
What We Will Do:
The Other Team Sports Bar will focus on giving back to the local sporting community through outreach, sponsorship and fundraising - working in close partnership with female and non-binary athletes, teams and supporters across London.
Not only will we provide a safe space to relax, watch women's sports and socialise, we will also host various events for teams and fans alike:
- Meet and greets
- Fundraising nights
- Recruitment events
- Open mic nights
- Whatever else the communities ask for!
What Are We Crowdfunding For?
We do not yet have a fixed venue for the bar and are currently fundraising towards the cost of opening a permanent venue! This includes:
- Planning application and licensing
- Venue rental deposit and fees
- Fit-out and decor
- Staffing hire
- Further watch party events and fundraising
