Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 35 years, I was always grafting for someone else, making them the profit, so I have decided to open my own business, along with my partner, who has also worked her entire career in hospitality.
We love small country cafes and have spent many miles discovering them. We would both love a small, cosy, welcoming café, somewhere you can relax over a cuppa or an intimate lunch, and from that the concept of The Hearth and Heart was born, with the image of a couple of comfy armchairs, settled close to an open fire and a hot cup of coffee sat on the table.
With the money we raise for our project we aim to open within the community, creating jobs and a welcoming meeting place for those, perhaps in need of a sympathetic ear or a friendly smile.
