🎭 Help Us Make Theatre Truly Accessible – And Win an Exclusive Show Mask! 🎭
As you may know, I've always been committed to making theatre accessible to everyone, so I've launched this Crowdfunder campaign to create a special Audio Commentary for my new show - Everyone Rotate Right - premiering at this year's Brighton Fringe.
As this is a non-verbal piece, my hope is to make sure that EVERY show is accessible for people with visual impairments, by creating a special Audio Commentary (similar to those you get in museums and art galleries).
Usually theatre shows have a live audio describer, employed for one or two shows. My aim is to create a downloadable file that can be played during the performance (via a person's own headphones), enabling them to come to ANY show!
This is new territory for me, but I think it could be really effective - but I need your help! That’s why I'm fundraising to:
- Create a special audio commentary for Everyone Rotate Right, ensuring visually impaired audiences can engage with any of the performances - not just a single designated show.
- Expand our accessibility resources, so we can continue making future productions more inclusive.
- Support essential associated costs like scripting, recording, professional advice, and equipment, helping to break down barriers to theatre access.
