The Weymouth Carnival is returning on the 14th August 2024. Please support us to make it a day to remember.
Having vanished from Weymouth in 2018, the absence of this vibrant event left a void in the hearts of locals. Recognizing this, a dedicated team of volunteers has united to resurrect the carnival on August 14th, 2024.
Our mission is to restore the carnival with an unwavering commitment to its traditional values and principles. We firmly believe that the essence of the carnival lies in fostering community cohesion and celebrating our collective diversity, recognizing that we are all equal.
Embracing the spirit of creativity, the carnival serves as a platform to showcase the remarkable talents and skills prevalent within our community. It is an opportunity for individuals to exhibit their artistry and ingenuity.
To accomplish this ambitious endeavour, we estimate a budget of approximately £30k. To secure the necessary funds, we intend to engage with local businesses, offering sponsorship packages that will contribute to financing the carnival. Furthermore, throughout the year, we will organize various fundraising events to supplement our efforts.
However, we cannot achieve our goal without your support. Even a small contribution of just a few pounds can help us resurrect this enchanting day.
