The Principal activity of the Charity is the promotion and running of the Weeting Rally event which is held on the third week-end in July. This event is run in a manner to allow the Charity to meet its objectives.

THE WEETING STEAM ENGINE RALLY

1729520877_weeting-rally-steam-vehicles.jpgOur main objective as a registered charity is to educate in the subjects of manufacture, history, use and conservation of all types of vintage steam driven engines and vintage vehicles.1729520411_ktdesign-weetingrally2016-aerial.jpg

We hold a three day event every year in July, since 1968 where we can carry out this objective with a steam rally and country show. We have working steam demonstrations, such as ploughing, thrashing and baling, wood sawing and stone crushing, along with a vast array of steam driven vehicles on display.

We donate to local community groups, with the aim to create strong relationships within the local area, and help fund local causes.

We also hold a steam apprentice weekend once a year, in conjunction with the NTET Steam Apprentice Club, where under 21s can learn all about steam engines.
