I'm Coleen, and I've spent years in the trades, experiencing both the highs and lows firsthand. Working as an electrician, I've seen the incredible potential in the trades, but I've also witnessed the daily challenges and struggles that many tradespeople face. These experiences have fueled my passion for creating the Trade Institute and revolutionising the trade industry.
In the construction industry, mental health is a significant concern. Tradespeople often grapple with long hours, physical strain, and financial pressures, leading to heightened stress levels. This is not just a statistic; it represents real people, including myself, who have faced these challenges.
The Trade Institute is our response to these issues. It's essential to emphasise that it's not just about me; it's a collective effort. Our dedicated team of skilled tradespeople has poured their hearts and souls into this project, overcoming obstacles with unwavering determination.
Though we initially faced funding setbacks, we've adapted and are now seeking additional support to reach a crucial milestone in our journey.
