In ancient Mesolithic Britain, 'unicorns' are feared, and never seen... until a tribal girl meets one seeking her help, but something is following...
I've always liked to write stories, invent new worlds, create characters, creatures and a whole intricate balance of intrigue and adventure. Showing the stories I'd written as a child to my own children inspired us to make one into a film...follow your dreams!

We've finished filming the short, reminiscent of 1970's style monster films. However, to finish our film and launch it to film festivals, requires funds.
CREATOR STATEMENT
The Three Beasts & The Unicorns began a long time ago. I wrote the original story when I was seven; one hundred and one pages in glorious technicolour felt tip pen! 'Quite a few' several years later I was showing it to my daughters and they said I should make it into a film, and so the seeds of this creation were sown.
From a lifelong fascination with ancient history and pre-history, and from a love of 1970's monster films and a desire to tell a story where the boundaries between myth and reality blur, I rewrote my childhood story to inspire a new generation; to empower 'the anybody', to realise the strength within. We all came from ancestors who had only fire and stone and will.
I wrote the book, then the screen play, and as I discovered a feature length film was aiming a little high for my first film, I developed the short.
Making the short has been an epic journey in itself; from meeting film stunt horses to building mesolithic huts to teaching myself VFX and animation. I did everything every first time film-maker is not supposed to do; 'Don't work with animals and children, don't have too many film locations, don't do fantasy and SFX, you won't be able to afford it, and don't film outdoors in all weathers.' I didn't make it easy for ourselves. But, the short is finished! We just need the final stretch to make it a wrap!

- Film Music Licenses.
Think Ennio Morricone and other amazing film music scores. To complete our film we want to use the best soundtrack that fits the action to pull the film together and enhance the mood and atmosphere. It also enables us to share, support and collaborate with other artists. A beautiful film score is essential especially for The Three Beasts & The Unicorns ~ Prologue Short.
- Festival Circuit.
To launch our film and get our story out into the world we need to submit it to film festivals. The submission fees average at £28 to £39 and we plan to submit to at least 20 festivals.
As a gesture of gratitude for your invaluable contribution there are a variety of perks to match your donation, such as signed copies of the book, unique signed film posters, producer credit and even plant a tree in your honour!
Whatever is raised will go towards our short film. A little or a lot, will determine how many festivals we can submit to and which artists music we can afford. From all of us, a huge thank you.
