Who We Are

Hi, I’m Dr. Hannah Strange, founder of the 12x award-winning holistic wellness brand, The Strange Apothecary. Alongside my husband Dean, and our two children Dexter and Skylah, we’re building something deeply personal and powerfully needed: A permanent, sacred space for healing rooted in nature.

We’ve spent six years growing our business, community, and mission from the ground up, and now it’s time to plant that magic into the soil itself.

Our Vision

We’ve found the perfect land, just minutes from our home in North Dorset. 16.58 acres of fields, hedgerows, and a natural pond ready to be brought to life.

Our dream is to transform it into The Strange & Wild Nature Preserve: A nature-first wellness retreat and rewilding sanctuary designed for people and planet.

We’re talking:

• A wheelchair-accessible sensory garden for neurodivergent and chronically ill guests
• Ceremonial fire circles for rituals, retreats, and sacred community gatherings
• Enchanted glamping pods, think vintage caravans and wagons given a fairy-dusted makeover
• Wildflower meadows & rewilded wildlife zones to restore the land
• A treatment cabin & workshop space for herbal healing, sacred self-care, and embodiment practices

And most of all, a safe, grounded space where people can return to themselves.

Why It Matters

This isn’t just a business move. It’s a sacred act of rebellion against burnout, disconnection, and over-medicalised wellness.

We know what it’s like to live with chronic illness.
We know what it’s like to raise neurodivergent children.
We know what it’s like to be exhausted, isolated, and unsupported.

And we also know the power of plants, community, and soul-led healing when they’re brought together with intention.

This sanctuary is being built for you, and with you.

How We’ll Use Your Support

With your help, we will:

• Secure the dream land we have found.
• Begin rewilding the pond and planting wildflower zones
• Build the first glamping pods and create a wheelchair-friendly sensory garden
• Convert existing caravans into herbal healing cabins + workshop space
• Build a fulfilment centre for our 100% natural products at The Strange Apothecary
• Open the sanctuary for low-cost retreats, healing ceremonies, and guided transformation
• Build a small cabin for our family so we can care for the land all year round

Every penny will go directly into the creation of this sanctuary, from the soil up.
