The socialite sipper

Aim: Hello! My aim is to get back to the socialising element of sipping a hot beverage rather than stuck on a screen!

Hey you! Yes you!

You may be thinking that this is just another idea for a coffee shop, the same as all the rest. The very same that is up and down the high street and taking over the little villages we all know and secretly love! But, I want to take your focus off the idea of a coffee shop for one minute, take away the focus of the rich smelling aroma of the ground beans and the baked goods and allow you to put down your phone and listen. Listen to the chattering of all those people around you, the laughs at number 2, the crying on number 6 and the drama being unraveled about Betty walking in on her husband at the wrong time. This is where life is. Amongst the timeless doom scrolling everyone is living their little lives outside this little coffee shop and is speaking about it. This sounds easy to so many people, to sit with their friends and laugh, cry and speak endless words but for some it’s hard. They have no one to talk to or natter with about the weather. Maybe due to anxiety, past trauma or just from being alone.

Listening? Good.

I want to bring the coffee shop back to what it used to be. A place to get to know new people, to pass the time of day away with friends and family without the headache in the morning. To give people chance to put down their phones and listen and live with each other. I want this to be a place where life happens. Where you leave knowing you can leave lighter.

However, to create this place of voices, we all need to start somewhere. Right now, the focus is to get started. Start with the aroma of beans and the invitation of a good coffee to get started in the morning and that starts with you. Theirs is a company that allows little dreamers like me to drive around and bring people that little spark of the day. And I need all the help I can get, to get that little coffee van to the remotest villages in my area. The buses are not too frequent so there are many people that do not venture further than their doorstep. I want to take my little cafe idea out and drive it round these areas and allow people to make friends and see the little bit of the world they can, all with a hot brew in their hand. This starts with you! I need to raise capital for this little van.
