Hello, I am delighted to wish you a happy and prosperous new year as I present to you this appeal.
My name is Kenneth Ochola. I am a student of Kampala International University, in my third year, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Laws. I am writing this as a move to fund raise tuition fees of £518 to further fund my law education for the next semester which commences on 8th January, 2024.
- My humble appeal.
I, therefore, implore any kind and benevolent support through donation to help me with this fundraising. I come from a humble background being raised by a single parent after the passing of my father in 2007 which makes it hard for my mother to look for £518 individually in a timely period.
In the community where l live, most people neither complete secondary level nor continue to the university.
I have tried getting a job but it’s really hard to balance working with the books. Not only has it made me fail to save up some money, but it has also proved to be detrimental to my studies. This is because of the divided attention which makes it impossible for me to focus. However, l do part time graphics designing from where I generate some money to facilitate my mobile data, buying of reading materials like notes and statutes at campus.
- My ambitious in Life.
My dream is to establish an NGO called “The Freeman Campaign” advocating for the Human Rights concerns of the undeserved and marginalized individuals and the vulnerable communities. You are right to say that my vision is to become a Human Rights Defender and a lawyer.
My resolution next year is to do regular blogging where I address and air out my own opinions over human rights concerns around the world. I believe that by doing this, l will create awareness in the online community. This will in-turn expose my vision of the NGO and myself to any lawyering opportunity to the audience who follow the platforms.
I believe it’s through blogging where l can note down the different ideas l get from time to time about the NGO and it paints a bigger picture for me about how the organization will operate and it’s primary objectives.
- My appreciation & respect.
I would like to take this opportunity to credit The Butterfly project Uganda and the donors for their kind endeavor of giving me both mentorship and financial support over the ages since my childhood up-to-date and in my previous fundraiser. I must say that without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Nevertheless, my tuition fees of £518 has heavily fallen on their lap and any contribution made will surely lighten it.
I, once again, call upon your help to enable my tuition fees be raised before the deadline which is 8th January, 2024. With honesty, kindness and gratitude, I welcome anyone who is ready to travel this journey with me. Your name(s) will surely be written in the history behind my success when the financial target of £518 of my tuition fees is hit in time and I graduate.
Thank you so much and may God bless you as l wish you all a happy & prosperous 2024.
With faithfulness, I remain Kenneth Ochola, an ambitious and visionary law student of Kampala International University.
