Aim: Creating local workshops where people gain hands-on green skills, share knowledge, and build fairer, more resilient communities.

Hi, I’m Samia, an educator, researcher, and community builder working at the intersection of climate justice and collective care.

I founded The People’s Ark because I believe that in the face of the climate crisis, we need more than technical fixes—we need places of belonging, learning, and doing. This project is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: everyone deserves access to the skills that will shape a fairer, greener future.

I’ve spent the last decade working alongside communities, young people, and climate organisers—facilitating workshops, researching sustainable transitions, and co-creating spaces where people feel powerful and seen. Whether it’s through policy, education, or a pop-up skills workshop, my work has always been about bridging the gap between big ideas and everyday action.

Now, I’m building The People’s Ark as a place where intergenerational and intercultural knowledge can thrive through hands-on workshops, storytelling, and joy. This crowdfunder is the next step in making that dream real.
