Pennyhooks is a one-hundred-acre, organic working farm. Since 2001, this beautiful corner of England has provided a safe haven and unique opportunities to over 100 autistic children, young people and adults. Many of those who attend have the most complex form of autism. Their sensitivities to noise, light and social expectations, along with their communication challenges, mean they are denied access to the learning and work experiences most of us take for granted. At Pennyhooks we believe everyone should be offered these life chances. We take an innovative and kind approach to providing each of our students with the opportunity to do formal training, develop new skills and experience a meaningful, enjoyable, working life.

0Nestled in the Vale of the White Horse on the Oxfordshire and Wiltshire border, there is a most unusual farm. Pennyhooks is a one-hundred-acre, organic working farm, where a small herd of Angus cows and calves graze its conservation meadows, alongside donkeys, goats and hens. Pennyhooks is a warm and welcoming environment... and so much more besides.
Pennyhooks is also an innovative charity, utilising this incredible setting to offer over 50 sessions per week to provide autistic young people and adults with the opportunity of a meaningful, working life. We are at the very forefront of the latest thinking and practise in supporting autistic people, pioneering new and impactful approaches.
In tune with the rhythms of the seasons and the land, each student is trained, trusted and given responsibility for work across the farm - animal care, horticulture, conservation, baking, crafting, woodwork, home skills and many more. This is real work in a real workplace.
By developing their working and social skills, within this structured and supportive environment, Pennyhooks helps to improve their everyday experience, as well as their longer-term life chances.
Pennyhooks can only transform lives because of the generosity of our supporters. We are grateful for every gift.
