RCN 1095695, Manchester

The Charity is principally engaged in acting for the public benefit to aid and improve the condition of all those suffering from Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions, by providing physical and psychological therapies and moral and practical supports to sufferers and their carers. The therapies offered aim to ease the symptoms of MS and enable individuals to regain autonomy and live better with this condition.

The Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (nw) Limited

Established in 2004, the MS Therapy Centre (NW)’s aim is to enrich the lives of people with Multiple Sclerosis by providing therapies in a caring, supportive and positive environment. The aim of the therapies is to enable them to have a better quality of life. We are a self-help group and UK registered charity endeavoring to provide a complete service for MS sufferers who visit us from across the North West.

The charity has seen its membership increase from 40 to now approximately 600. We continue to see an increase of members attending our centre on a regular basis and our trustees have extended membership to varying neurological conditions, forms of cancer and other conditions which would benefit from Oxygen treatment.

Our centre has a small, dedicated team of staff, who along with our fantastic volunteers, work hard to keep the centre running smoothly. The centre relies on the kindness and goodwill of our volunteers; their efforts were recently recognised with a prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2022.

We offer a range of therapies and services designed to manage both physical and psychological symptoms, improve quality of life and limit the effects of the illness. Our drop-in centre is a valued support hub for our members and their families to share experiences and socialise.
