The LOST Lombi Experience
More than just a play…
The LOST Lombi Experience is an immersive cultural experience where you will be transported to a little slice of the Congo via music, food and visual arts.
In celebration of Black History Month, we want to bring awareness to what’s happening in the Congo through the resiliency of the characters that our actors bring to life. We are committed to telling stories that spark hope and disarm despair.
From the 3rd of October - 3rd of November at the White City Warehouse, London
Doors will open early so attendees have time before the play to enjoy traditional Congolese food & drink, immerse themselves in the space & interact with actors and other audience members.
Synopsis:
Three women connected by blood, spanning over three generations. One running. One yearning. One with a calling. Each must go on a journey if they are to find peace and resolution within themselves.
To date, a significant number of children in the DRC are used as combatants, transports, spies, chefs or sexual slaves within the armed groups and militias. The LOST Lombi lifts the lid on the recruitment of child soldiers while exploring identity, the generational trauma of war, the necessity of belonging and the importance of forgiveness.
