The Longest Day: Tour De Mentia 2025 - Sam McD

Aim: I am riding 330km in one day to raise money for the fight against dementia.

Alzheimer's Society reports:

• 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will be diagnosed with dementia
• 1.4 million people are expected to be living with dementia by 204
• Dementia is the UK's biggest health and social care crisis

On 2nd July I will be part of an Aviva team cycling coast-to-coast from Rochester to Weston Super Mare.  Starting at dawn, we are aiming to "Chase the Sun" covering 330km to reach our destination by dusk.   Through careful planning, this is one kilometre for each year of Aviva's history.   

This will be 100% be my longest-ever ride on the steed, but more importantly than my personal goal is to raise money for Alzheimer's Society with the collective team.
