The Lasting Touch - Oncology & Palliative Massage

After years working with people in social care in many different roles and many different capacities I decided to move my work in a different direction and train in alternative therapies. I've enjoyed delivering massage therapies and found it to be an alternative health service for many people with many varying conditions. Recently our family has been touched with cancer and during this time of sharing our difficulties, we've heard the stories of how other people's lives have been touched by the illness and with grief. I would love nothing more than to set up a non for profit charity that provides massage services to those who are ill or in the palliative stages of life who financially would be unable to access this type of service. That is the long term goal and vision. The first step is to get the specialist qualification myself. The additional CPD qualification to perform oncology and palliative massage would cost me around £500 and that is money I currently don't have access too. I'm hoping anyone who feels I would provide a valuable service and supports my future vision would be willing to support with a donation towards this course.
