Hi, we are the cast of The Improvised Play, currently performing The Glass Imaginary (an improvised play in the style of Tennessee Williams). We're fundraising to go to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August because we love doing this show and want lots of people to see it. Fringe has gotten more and more expensive every year, but this year represents a huge leap in costs. Many smaller companies like ours are priced out completely, which is just not in keeping with the spirit of the fringe. We'd like to go, represent, and make some noise about what fringe is supposed to be.
As a cast with significant female, queer, and neurodivergent representation, we'd love to put on the version of Tennessee Williams that these communities want and deserve to see. We're currently expending huge amounts of personal resources to make this happen, and we'd love some help from our friends and the lovely improv community we all feel so close to.
