We're still collecting donations
On the 6th August 2020 we'd raised £885 with 27 supporters in 55 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
To finish off the garden so it looks presentable for reopening.

If there is money left over, this could relieve some of the financial burdens for a closed pub, but the idea is not to help us and our bills, it’s to make the garden a nice place to be!
We were determined to do this alone without asking for help, but we just need a tiny bit extra to finish what we have started.
Some of our regulars have seen us painting benches and pulling up slabs to make the garden more presentable, tables which can be cleaned easily, a concrete pathway to replace the gravel and trip hazards and extra grass area to spread out the tables.
We have already bought most of the materials, but we have met a brick wall now. Our wonderful regulars appeared with paint and brushes and have painted some of the fencing, fixed the well and the gate and some of the fence and had put out an SOS on our Facebook page. The overwhelming response has been incredible!!!!! I cannot thank them enough for putting this post out and for all of those who are putting their spare time into helping us!!
The brewery are replacing the external fence and repainting the climbing frame and they gave us £200 to spend, which, as you can imagine, didn’t go very far.
We just need a small amount of financial support to finish the job. We need some more paint, sharp sand and turf.
Thank you in advance for all of your support and we hope to welcome you back into The Galleon as soon as possible!!
