Aim: Raising funds to help provide free support to children, young people and families experiencing the impact of bereavement and family illness.

Support the Southlands Place Team as We Take on the Four Waterfalls Walk!

On Saturday 12th July, the dedicated team from Southlands Place will be swapping their uniforms for walking boots as we take on the breathtaking Four Waterfalls Walk in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales – all in support of local organisation Willow Tree Children’s Support CIC.

This stunning 5.25-mile (8.4 km) circular trail leads through beautiful woodland and rugged terrain to four of South Wales’ most picturesque waterfalls: Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd y Pannwr, and Sgwd yr Eira. It’s no easy stroll – with steep, uneven paths and rocky descents, this walk is considered moderately challenging and will take us around 3 to 4 hours to complete. But we’re up for the challenge all for a fabulous cause.

We’re raising funds for Willow Tree Children’s Support CIC a wonderful local organisation that provides free support in primary and secondary schools to children and young people  who are experiencing the impact of bereavement or family illness. Their work helps children and young people explore their thoughts and feelings around loss, grief, and uncertainty at an incredibly challenging time in their lives – and we want to help ensure that no one has to go through it alone.

Willow Tree is passionate about providing FREE support to children, young people and their families so that there is no financial barrier stopping anyone from accessing crucial and early intervention support at their time of need.

Offering their service for free is incredibly important to Willow Tree and this means they rely on grants, donations and fundraising to pay for everything they provide. The money raised will buy materials to be used in sessions, buy items for the children and young people to take home supporting their continued emotional journey outside of sessions and it will facilitate workshops and information sessions. Everything everyone needs, they will be able to continue providing, thanks to your generosity.

We would be so grateful for your support. Whether it's a donation, a share, or a few kind words of encouragement, it will all help us reach our goal – and more importantly, help Willow Tree continue their vital work in our community.

Please sponsor us if you can. Every step we take is for the children and families who need Willow Tree's support.

Thank you so much for your generosity and support,
The Southlands Place Team
