Synopsis:
A jester who is lost in awe, is suddenly interrupted by some unexpected guests. She loses her identity as the world around her becomes distorted.
Director's Statement:
Hi I’m M
addy, this is my first time directing a fully crew-ed experimental project. I am very passionate about creativity and people having access to art and self expression. Growing up neurodivergent, I always felt very out of place and a sense of trying to fit into or performing, feeling disconnected. As humans, the feeling of having to play into a character who is being watched by an audience is something that I think a lot of people can relate to. We have a wide range of such talented crew and working with such amazing people has been and will be so great to see come to life and grow. It would mean the world to us to be able to create this film, we wouldn't be able to do this without the support of others so please help us out if you can!
Here is the original poem, I would like to share that I wrote as inspiration for this film.
The Fool
I am wearing a face that’s made out of plasticine
draped in thin satin , the colour of blue.
Blurring my thoughts and eyes into a dec of sonder
blended shadows behind cards ,
I can pull myself out of a caged body and think that I can mind read.
But really, holding cups behind my spine is all I know.

So far our crew have already raised £160 that has contributed towards making the incredible 'Jester' and 'Clown' costumes! Here is how we would distribute the remaining money we raise!
