Hi, I’m Leanne and I am a fitness professional who works with women to help them increase their health and wellbeing. Alongside this I like to take opportunities to raise money for charity when I can and wanted to take an opportunity to combine these two things.
From here the two week Female Fit Club Health & Social Club was born - an opportunity to help women stay on top of their wellbeing and also find a bit of a social community at this difficult time, as well as raise some money for two great causes.
Digby’s Smile
Digby is a young boy who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a non-curable and fatal rare degenerative muscle wasting illness.
“Boys with DMD lose all muscle function, are generally wheelchair bound by 12 years and die in their late teens or early twenties - DMD is 100% fatal, there is NO cure.
Since Digby’s diagnosis nearly 3 years ago we are already seeing some signs of deterioration and are witnessing a number of the effects of this cruel illness to his body. He is currently still mobile, mostly, and still able to be a cheeky little 5 year old, for now...
He has poorer balance than many boys his age and spends a lot of time falling over for no apparent reason. Sadly though this is the start of the illness; this is the start of his cruel future.
We currently cannot change any of that - but there is something we CAN do. We are on a mission to keep Digby smiling & help find a cure for this horrible disease.
Despite all odds, we aim to give Digby the best life possible, fill it with small pleasures, treats, adventures and mobility equipment etc. for a more comfortable life. We will do anything and everything we can to help keep him smiling & this is just one of the ways we hope to achieve this.”

Mind
Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
Mind aim to ensure that all people experiencing mental health issues get the support they need.
One of the lovely women who attends my classes, Anna, has taken on her own mission to raise money for this great charity and I want to help add to her funds. More than ever this last year has highlighted how important good mental health is, but also that we can all experience depression, down times or may see it in those close to us and how important it is to have services we can turn to.

So join my two week Lockdown Health & Social Club and help me raise some money and hopefully have some fun at the same time!
The money will be split equally between the two charities.
