Terry Hopwood is fundraising for Breast Cancer UK Charity No. 1088047

£170
I am raising money for Breast Cancer UK, this is very important to me so please donate and help me reach my target. Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated.
I am going to challenge myself by doing the Fan Dance on the 26th January 2025. This is an endurance march taking place in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. The fan dance is part of the selection process for the UK special forces (SAS)
The Fan Dance is a 15-mile (24 km) load bearing march (35lbs) that takes place at the end of the first week of the selection course. It is used as the first major indicator of whether a candidate has the physical and mental aptitude to complete the selection.
The candidates climb Pen y Fan's west slope (facing Corn Ddu) and then descend on the far side, known as Jacob's Ladder. The rest of the route follows the old Roman road before going back on itself for the return leg. Candidates on selection are allowed 4 hours 10 minutes to complete the route regardless of weather.
Thank you.
