To build the Countryside Kitchen classroom, empowering communities to grow, cook, and eat sustainably while supporting local food production
by Milly Fyfe in Northampton, England, United Kingdom
Our Vision and Idea
At No Fuss Meals for Busy Parents CIC, we connect communities with the origins of their food, equipping them with the skills to grow, cook, and eat sustainably. Our vision is to create healthier, more climate-ready communities by reducing food miles, promoting seasonal British produce, and addressing food security and wellbeing challenges.
Our Team
Led by award-winning social entrepreneur Milly Fyfe, our team brings experience in farming, education, nutrition, and community engagement. We collaborate with schools, community groups, and local businesses to ensure our work is impactful and inclusive.
Our Idea
We are building the Countryside Kitchen, a classroom on our Northamptonshire farm, to deliver immersive workshops that teach growing, cooking, and sustainable living skills. By hosting "Grow, Cook, Eat" workshops, we aim to empower families and individuals with practical knowledge to reduce food waste, embrace healthier lifestyles, and support local farmers.
How We’ll Use the Funds
Funds raised will equip the Countryside Kitchen with essential tools and resources, from cooking equipment to gardening supplies. This will allow us to provide subsidised workshops for vulnerable groups and create digital content to reach even more people. Together with the support from the Aviva Community Fund, we will build a sustainable platform to inspire positive climate action and community resilience for years to come.
