The town of Darvel is situated at the head of the picturesque Irvine Valley. It's a terrific place to live, a vibrant community and a great family safe location for outdoor activities, walking, hiking and cycling.
The town is at the start of an exciting Covid recovery programme, part of our 5 year regeneration plan. At the heart of the plan is The Corner - a community developed multi-purpose space for events, activities, café days, gatherings and markets. .
So far we have raised £410,000 but need an additional £125,000 to build a canopy on site and to fully achieve our vision. This crowd funding project is to raise £25,000 from the local community and friends of Darvel. We need funds for lights, accessible seating, flower beds and CCTV. Your contributions will be hugely appreciated and used to make The Corner an even better place for the entire community.
