THE CHILDREN'S SURGERY FOUNDATION
The Children’s Surgery Foundation supports babies, children, and their families to improve the lives of sick children through the continuous improvement of paediatric surgery. Working in partnership with the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons, we help children’s surgical centres nationwide by providing support to purchase much needed medical equipment, surgical training and research to hospitals across the UK.

THE BEAM CAMPAIGN
We have recently launched an ambitious new campaign – The Beam Campaign – to ensure that intravenous (IV) access is a more efficient and less intimidating procedure for young patients and their families.
We want to help by providing each of the 26 paediatric surgical units in the country with an ultrasound vein finder. These ultrasound vein finders allow clinicians to identify the most appropriate blood vessel quickly and easily, which reduces pain, and the risk of damage to veins from repeated attempts.
