0Exciting news!
Harmony is moving to new, more accessible and larger premises in St Michael’s trading estate. and we need your help to make this move.
We have raised a substantial amount of the funding needed, through grants and donations, to renovate and refurbish our new venue to accommodate our needs, however, we still need to raise a further £6000 to complete the first stage and provide our community with a bespoke mental health and wellbeing hub
The Burrough Harmony Centre has been based at the Assembly Rooms in Gundry Lane for the last 5 years. We have provided help and support to many people in our community who are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing. Since the pandemic we have seen a great increase in the number of people using our services. Reaching Communities Lottery have recognised that Harmony needed to grow with this increased demand and have funded us to restructure our organisation and systems and enable us to move to larger more appropriate premises. BUT they do not fund any renovation and refurbishment costs. They ask that we reach out to the local community to support us.
Our Drop- In programmes offer a range of activities including arts/crafts, pilates/yoga, allotment group, mens walking group and wellbeing activities as well as just a place to come to if anyone want to talk with one of our peer support workers.
Harmony also runs the local Community Front Room as part of Dorset Healthcare ‘Access Mental Health’, providing a safe, confidential space for anyone in crisis with their mental health to visit and find support from our friendly, non judgemental qualified staff.
