Brightside is an online mentoring charity that connects young people facing barriers with mentors to help them make confident and informed decisions about their next steps after school or college.
We're pioneers in online mentoring with over 20 years' experience of using technology to help social mobility. We've built a bespoke platform with safeguarding at its core so young people can safely get information, advice and guidance from our inspiring volunteer mentors.
More than 160,000 young people have benefitted from our programmes and they are twice as likely to get into university after mentoring and twice as likely to stay on their course.
Young people need someone to turn to who's been there, a relatable role model they can reach via text or video call on their phone. They don't need to leave the house, pay for expensive travel or live near areas where there are more opportunities.
