This project successfully funded on 4th January 2021, you can still support them with a donation.

Aim: To deliver advice and support to the Armed Forces community, veterans and their families. Provide non clinical therapy and crisis support.

My name is Colin I’m a former Paratrooper who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, my self and a former colleague from the Parachute Regiment along with other local veterans have decided to take matters in to our own hands and start our own veterans drop in centre located in Walton road Liverpool.

We will use two converted shops as our community and drop in centre, above the shops we have eight small bedsit open plan flats, our services are available to the armed forces community, providing advice and crisis support along with free holistic therapy for veterans and service personnel using six private consultation rooms in the Block basement.

We have registered the name: THE BLOCK,Armed forces advice and crisis support CIC.

We chose the name THE BLOCK in relation to the accommodation at our old barracks in Dover Kent. We feel this was the safest place and surrounded by comrades we felt at home their.

The project so far has been fully funded by local veterans, we have not received any support from local councils yet, but by popular demand we have set up this funding page for people to support this community project.

Our doors open on the 21st December for tea & coffee, we are looking for local volunteers to help us decorate and prepare our holistic therapy rooms, any funds will be used on the equipment we need to start up, items like: Tables. Chairs, office essentials, WiFi, phone, first aid equipment, bedding, fridge, wardrobes, microwaves, pots and pans.
