The objectives of the PSA are to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by: -Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school -Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Who are We
We are a group of seven parents who created the PSA in light of the funding cutbacks in the education sector a couple of years ago. The Arnewood School is a secondary school for 11-18 year old children in New Milton, Hants and has over 1000 students attending.
What are we fundraising for?
Each year we listen the School Council and School requests and give ourselves a project and financial target to achieve that goal. For this year, we have been asked to support the School in establishing "The Zone" a converted drama room which will provide a safe and quiet space for children who are struggling with mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression. In 2021 a popular 15 year old student took his own life unexpectedly and the student population took this quite badly. There has been a sharp increase in the number of mental health related concerns. The Zone will provide art therapy, new activities and a quiet environment for vulnerable students at lunchtimes and some after school sessions.
How much do we want to raise?
We have a target of £5,000 to achieve this and have raised around £2500 so far. We are looking to fund furnishings such as bean bags, chairs, activities and games, as well as taster sessions for teen yoga.
