45th Ormskirk (Burscough Methodist) Scout Group

The 45th Ormskirk (Burscough Methodist) Scout Group has been a part of community life in Burscough since 1958 when the Cub pack was set up.  The Scout troop was established later in 1977 and the Beaver colony in 1990. We are a small, all-inclusive group with dedicated leaders who provide a fun and varied programme for the young people who attend our unit.  During these tough times we have continued to provide a full virtual programme for all sections and some face to face Scout meetings when possible.  All sections have had members achieve the Chief Scout Award relevant to their sections which is a fantastic credit to the hard work and dedication of our young people. 

The group is aiming to raise money for new equipment so that we can get back to outdoor activities once we are allowed to return to camping.

Counting their steps the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders will be aiming to collectively walk to the scout international headquarters in Geneva 850 miles away. These steps will be counted and converted into miles and added together to get a grand total. 

Over the next few weeks all will be doing their best to fundraise for our group .  I hope you can support them!
