On the 21st July 2024 we'd raised £8,940 with 38 supporters in 37 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
20 Years ago TFF began campaigning to reinvigorate often neglected Park Tennis Courts, our mission being to make this public facility available to everyone by running FREE fun group games and drills turning the courts into a vibrant community hub.
Sport England's current campaign "Uniting the Movement" says "For too long, people with the most to gain from being active have been the least able to take part"
TFF encourage the least active and the most vulnerable to join our sessions targeting mostly deprived communities across the country
"We believe sport...has a big role to play in improving the physical and mental health of the nation" says the report
TFF now run bespoke sessions for Mental Well Being and over 50's groups as early intervention programmes alongside the NHS and other organisations
"Providing opportunities to people and communities" is what Sport England are looking to do
TFF is truly a scheme run By the Community, For the Community
"Helping to remove the barriers to activity has never been more important" say Sport England
TFF remove the barriers, TFF reach those most in need, we need YOU to help US reach more people in need over the next 20 years.
Every £1,000 we raise enables us to run at least 20 sessions reaching communities in need, those struggling with Mental Health, addressing early onset Dementia.
£10,000 helps us to get 10,000 balls hit per week at TFF sessions!
The more we raise, the more people we can help, your donation really does make a difference.
"The Tennis for Free sessions are far more than just a means to raise fitness and an interest in the sport of Tennis, it is a fabulous means to practically integrate all sectors of the community, build friendships, and considerably improve individual's lives."Lynn Evans, Cannock Chase District Council
“What I really love about the TFF sessions is that they are open to everyone. Whether you are 3 or 83 you can come for as long or short a time as you like. There is something available for everyone regardless of age, size, shape or level. It is that welcoming” Judy Murray
"Tennis For Free has somewhat shaped my life. I attended the scheme as a 16yr old and was going through some mental health issues at the time. I attended TFF almost every weekend, and now, 7yrs later, I'm an LTA Licensed tennis coach and help deliver the sessions at the very site that that I was once an attendee of. Tennis coaching is also my career now and I love every minute of my work.”
